Carmichael Evolution Alto Saxophone Demo
A. Carmichael Evolution (ACEV11).
The A Carmichael Evolution is produced by the craftsmen of the Selmer USA Range, at £199 we strongly believe it is the best priced high grade student saxophone on the market. We sell many brands makes and mdoels of saxophone but year in year out this is by far our best selling model online.
If you're new to saxophone everything can seem a bit confusing, we would recommend before going any further you watch the above two guides which will hopefully answer many of your questions.
Carmichael are investing in the future and teachers are recognising this with unprecedented praise: "their [Carmichael] entry level instrument prices are amongst the lowest around but their quality competes with, and beats many so called "premium models", you simply won't find a better saxophone for under £300." The Evolution is our best selling sax to schools and private learners for many reasons, not least that the features and quality mean no expensive upgrades, for school learners it will take you well past grade 5 and for at home hobby learners you will never need to upgrade. The differences between this sax and a £1000 sax will only be discernable to a pro player, at under £200 it leaves the other "value saxes" well behind it. It's high re-sale value also makes it a hit with many parents nervous as to whether their child will stick with sax!

In the past such a Saxophone would cost well over £300 but in recent years the internet has forced prices down, the sax itself has not changed over the years, just the price! The spec of this saxophone is comparable and better than many £300+ saxophones on the market.
At karacha as a traditional music business we do our best to help and inform you through our video guides, video demos, written guides and by employing real sax players who are on the end of the phone to help and advise. But we know that the lure of cheaper saxes on ebay and the internet in general can be tempting, we belive this is by far the best saxophone you can get for under £300 but don't take our word for it, if you buy it and you or your teacher thinks it's not a brilliant sax return it within 7 days for a full refund - most teachers end up recommending them to other students! In blind tests teachers have guessed this sax as a £500+ model!
The Evolution is our best selling sax to schools and private learners for many reasons, not least that the features and quality mean no expensive upgrades. Our music school has students using this saxophone at grade 8 and we know of many professionals who keep it as a backup instrument. As a general rule for school learners it will take you well past grade 5 and for at home hobby learners you will never need to upgrade. The differences between this sax and a £1000 sax will only be discernable to a pro player, at the current price it leaves the other "value saxes" well behind it. It's high re-sale value also makes it a hit with many parents nervous as to whether their child will stick with sax!
Some specifications:
High F# Key – Standard these days but some cheaper models will still be missing it.
High Grade Brass – It is imperative that your saxophone is constructed from a high grade brass alloy. Many saxophones out there are made from cheap softer metals, this means a poorer sound quality and consequently a more difficult learning experince. From a parents point of view the softer metal means it can simply be damaged easily – not what you need for your child’s first instrument.
Ribbed construction – A feature of more expensive saxophones, the Carmichael Evolution is crafted using ribbed construction techniques.
Engraved Bell – The bell displays traditional and tasteful engraving.
Real Leather Pads – Pads close tone holes, a cheap pad can leak (i.e. not seal tight and let air out) by opting for a saxophone with genuine leather pads and not a synthetic alternative you are avoiding what could be a very bad larhing experience. High quality leather pads cared for properly will also last much longer meaning less expensive repair bills. A pad saver is included in the mega deal.
Complete with: The Saxophone itself is complete in a new deluxe back pack style hard case with a modern canvass exterior with embroidered logo. ABS plastic cases may look tough but have a tendency to crack, this new case both protects the instrument and itself. It is a case normally associated with more expensive models. You also receive a mouthpiece and ligature.
Tip
A really easy way to make this sax sound the bets it possibly can is to buy a Yamaha 4C mouthpieces and rovner ligature to go with it!
